With the warm temperatures the last few weeks and several days of light rain, Temescal Canyon is just a few days away from a major bloom of white Ceanothus. The Chaparrel shrubs and small trees over the years have grown so dense that the only soil you can see is the occassional trails leading up to the summit. From the base at Sunset and Temescal Canyon Road one can see shades of grey foliage brimming with clouds of white flowers just about to peak! This picture taken today against a brilliant blue sky shows how little color these hills surrender yet the beauty is nonetheless spectacular! Early spring in Los Angeles is subtle, but to the inquisitive eye and need for a walk among nature, it is all in your face with color, texture and fragrances. Get out and experience Temescal Canyon hiking trails in the Palisades. For further information on hiking at Temescal please feel free to contact, www.projectgreenscaping.com, we’ll get you there!
